II. Summary

Good evening.  April was an eventful month with a majority of our Region moving at full pace into the new chronicle, a ton of continued work in getting a SCaRE 2014 contract signed, three new team members on the RC Staff,  and the creation of our newest unit, the Independent Chapter of Odessa, TX.  Activity is picking up around the Region and I look forward to this new growth period, let us keep up the momentum.

Switching topics to Featured games, we will be returning to OKC this weekend on May 18th for a Featured Game of the Month including the Lost and Requiem Venues!  Our Regional Meeting will be hosted by Rebecca Morgan, and will provide information about projects and initiatives going on at the Regional level as well as an opportunity for questions and answers.  More details can be found at the following location.

If your Domain is interested in hosting the Region in some of the first FGotM’s for the next chronicle (and some of the first overcap XP opportunities), please let us know and we will work with you to make that happen.

And this brings us to SCaRE 2014.  I once again want to take a moment to thank every Domain who considered bidding, contributed to a bid, decided to submit a bid, or will come to assist in wherever SCaRE 2014 ends up.  Once we have a contract signed I promise to alert the Region and start to begin planning.

Let us build up the energy necessary to revitalize our events, and lead into a successful SCaRE 2014!

ARC Charities

Gregory McIntosh

This is my first month as ARC Charities and it has been interesting learning the position. Our charity for this quarter is helping out the people of West, Texas who suffered when tragedy struck in the form of the fertilizer plant explosion. I want to thank everyone who has given thus far and encourage everyone who hasn’t.

None right now

Working on putting together the charity for the next quarter.

ARC Events and Services

Rebecca Morgan, US2006037575

The ScaRE bid selection is drawing to an end and we will hear the results of the process very soon. May 18th I’ll be flying out to OKC to enjoy their hospitality for our May FGoTM and our first new chronicle chance to really get to see new characters from around the region. I look forward to seeing everyone there! I am also looking for featured game bids for June through September at this point and hope that domains will be interested in hosting some of the first featured games after the official start of the new chronicle! I’ve had two domains inquire about potential upcoming features, so I’ll be working with those domains as needed. Now is the time to get started with new chronicle plans for features, so if I can help, please email me. I am willing to assist in finding locations, planning, even running these events if your domain wants the assistance. Recruitment project has been passed on to our new ARC Project Management so that I can focus more on the featured game program, ScaRE and developing Events documents.

Q: What can you offer in the way of assistance for featured games?

A: As far as support, I can offer advertisement assistance, support from the RC and RST in way of regional meetings and possibly even IC regional plot-hooks and the like. There are also domains that are willing to loan some props, and I would help with coordinating that as well. The only big thing I can’t offer is money, as the region does not currently have a regional fund with the way the organization is working right now. Another perk is that the prestige for features is 50/50 regional and general instead of just general and it’s its own category, so that’s a 50 Prestige cap category that isn’t otherwise included in your awards. I report the prestige for features personally. All you do is supply me a detailed list of who did what and I report it for you. It’s included in the next regional report after you turn in the list. I’m here if you have any questions. My cell # is 210-882-6211. I can answer texts more often than calls, but if you need to call, and I can’t answer, leave a message and I’ll call you back. You can also find me on Facebook at : or email me here at .

Q: When will we find out about SCaRE 2014?

A: The review process is underway. After the bids are fully reviewed and compared, the location will be announced. Please be patient, as the review process does take time and involves multiple parties who will be working full bore to get the results to you as soon as possible.

  2. Lake Charles DC Election: Begins Tonight/Tomorrow
  3. Recruitment project: Ongoing

III. Questions & Answers

As domain coordinator, can I put in for donations I make to game and if so, how do I do that?

SC RC: Yes, any prestige awards you need to award to yourself should be compiled and sent in an e-mail outside of your report to the ARC Admin ( and myself ( and we will make the decision to award them in the Regional Report.  This way you are not awarding yourself prestige, and avoid the illusion of a CoI.

I don’t recall seeing, but is there a plan for a system (or portion of the new Membership Portal) to replace the CRD? There are several pieces of information I cannot gather without the CRD.

SC RC: Currently the CRD is a legacy resource that does not connect to the membership system and all updates are manual and requiring the National Coordinator to complete in most cases.  Therefore I do not require any Coordinator to use this old tool, and we have been assured that a new resource that does connect to the membership system is being built.  More to come.
