Hey folks,

As a reminder to all DCs out there, please send your prestige requests directly to me for these reports. You cannot receive any prestige through your domain report, so you’ll need to pull those requests together separately.

Let me know if you have any questions!

ARC Events and Services

Rebecca Morgan, US2006037575

Sumary

May has been a busy month for me, as events go. The June Dallas featured game planning is well underway and announcements and updates have been made. Dallas has added their charity, which will be a food bank drive. They will be accepting canned goods as well as monetary donations at their event. Please note changes in officers for the domain, as Dallas has gone through several elections since the first event announcement was made. The domain seems to have everything well in hand and I look forward to attending that event. Plans for the Austin July feature have slowed owing to the change in coordinator staff. Since a new DC is now in place, I look forward to assisting Austin in further solidifying plans for a great featured game. I still have yet to receive any bids for August or September, despite contact with current DCS in regard to available assistance. I am hoping that this changes and we have bids incoming soon. UPDATE : Austin DC has informed me of a change of plans for site for their feature and is also possibly wanting to change dates, which would make the feature in a whole other month. I have advised that they will need to submit a bid if it’s for another month and he says he should be able to let me know by the end of the week. I don’t currently have any August bids, and while I don’t like the idea of no feature for July, since it’s a month that many of our members who are students might have been able to travel, we will work with what we can do and make the best of it. I look forward to hearing further from Austin this week.

Questions and Answers

Question : When will you be accepting bids for November. (SA)

Answer : I am opening up bids now for November.

Question : What is the current status of scheduled Featured Games? (Many)

Answer : June’s featured game of the month will be hosted by Dallas, TX at Dallas/Plano Marriott at Legacy Town Center on June 16-17. July’s feature has hit some snags and an update will be forthcoming next week.

Projects

1. Direct contact with each domain and independent chapter to inform about the bid and featured game planning process and to solicit bids/offer assistance to all domains/independent chapters. Few responses. Will initiate follow up email contact within the month of June. Progress : Complete, Ongoing.

2. Create a featured game planning check-list to provide domains who are considering hosting a featured game of the month. Progress : Complete

3. Answer all questions regarding featured games/events in a timely manner. Progress : Complete/Ongoing.

4. Make bi-monthly event updates/announcements to keep the region informed as to the status of our featured game and events schedule. Progress : Up to date

5. Maintain contact with new Austin DC regarding the status of the July or August feature. Progress: Ongoing.

6. Assist domains as needed. Progress : Ongoing

7. Contact Faust Hotel in regard to a potential Fright Night event. Progress : Awaiting feedback from domains. Further contact/reminder planned.
