Scare 2011 prestige has been awarded.

http://camarilla.white-wolf.com/usnc/prestige_light/document.php?id=3780

Hello there,

I’d like to take a moment and talk about how awesome recruiting is. Everyone

likes a nice big game, but how do you get those big games. New members

that’s how. Back in the day when I was in the SW my local domain player base

was down to just five players. We still ran our games but it had more of a

table top feel rather than a good larp. You just can’t do all that much with

five players. But then we got a new guy, Steve. He’d heard the old horror

stories from people who weren’t in our club anymore, but he came anyway to

check things out. I’m happy to report that things were not as he was lead to

believe. Steve kept coming back and then he did something really odd. He

told his friends about all the fun he was having and then our game went from

5-6 to 15-20 person games. Now we were rocking, all the fresh members and

the increased game attendance even got some of our old friends to come back

to game. It was a nice domino effect. My favorite part was the almost

successful praxis attempt our new players pull game night one, which really

when things panned out actually worked as we had a new Prince in just a few

months after that.

Now I’m in the SC Houston, TX domain. Normally we had ok game attendance,

but it was only at the level we all liked when we had people from other

domains show up. And then someone had this strange idea, let’s go do a local

Gaming/Anime Convention and do a one shot recruitment game. That’s when Lee

Wilson said..”You guys know I run one of those Conventions every year

right?” With that we ran Masquerade and Requiem. Afterwards we got a few new

faces at our local games, some just checked it out once or twice. Some have

stayed and have helped make our game more awesome than before. So we were

like well, that worked, let’s do it again. And we did and we got even more

members. We went from just holding on with enough of a player base to now we

have enough people that there are hints of playing other Venues aside from

Vampire. Which again is awesome.

So to help encourage this. In the SCR from June 2011-August 2011. My office

will award Regional Prestige for every new recruit, mentoring a new member

(less than six months in) and for every recruitment game you all run at your

local Conventions. Which means 10R for every new recruit each of you gets to

become full members. Up to 20R for mentoring a new member per month and 5R

per hour you work at a Recruitment game(Events category). I am open to

awarding exceptional prestige for those of you who go above and beyond.

To make awarding this easier for you and me. Please use the attached excel

file for tracking everyone’s work for this. If it doesn’t get through the

list filter I’ll post it on the SCR site and you all can down load it from

there. Your DC or CC if you aren’t a Domain, should forward me this excel

log and then I can get the prestige awarded. And of course if you have

questions just ask.

sc.arc.outreach at gmail.com

*SC ARC Outreach Report – April 2011*

*SUMMARY*

– What a wild and crazy ride it’s been setting up the email lists again!

– The month went as planned.

– Elections for April have been completed and reported. New DCs have

received welcoming packet and been added to lists. (if you are having any

difficulties, ping me privately! I can help!)

– I have answered much and many questions from DCs and members alike. I am

always just an email away, and often just a chat away. I highly encourage

the open communications to continue.

*QUESTION & ANSWERS **

*Subject: Domain Coordinator Reporting Improvements

Cause: Domain Coordinators throughout the region continue to add their own

Personal Prestige report to their Domain Status Report each month. I have

sent reminder emails every month to no avail. No member can report their own

prestige. Domain Coordinators are required to send their personal prestige

report to my office in order to have the awards granted on the RC Report

each month.

Request: This proposal has two requests for additions to the Regional

website from the lovely and talented ARC Tech – Trisha DuBois.

1. Would you kindly add a page on the Regional site wherein the DCs will go

to report their personal prestige and have it direct each report

automatically to myself and Jess?

2. Would you kindly add a page on the Regional site wherein the DCs (and

independent CCs) will go to complete their Domain Status Report each month

and have it direct each report automatically to myself, Jess, US SC Coord

Reports, and the US ANC Chapters?

Benefit: This proposal will ensure:

– a more smooth reporting process each month

– the correct reporting format is reaching to the correct people/lists

– a fail-safe when the reporting lists have outages

*PROJECTS **

*Maintain elections!

*UPCOMING EVENTS:*

– DC Elections for Dallas (annual) and Lake Charles (DC had to step down)

are in progress.

– DC Election for San Antonio imminent.

*PRESTIGE AWARDS*

– Removed by ARC Admin and included under “VIII. Prestige Awards, Proctoring

Elections” Section.

*NOTES**

*- Welcome Julia Starr as the new DC of Houston!

– I love our region!
