II. Summary

**********************************************************************

Hello Region of love,

Sorry I’ve been a little slow to respond at times this month. I’ve

been dealing with some stuff.

The big thing I forgot to announce is that our ARC Services Melissa D.

Johnson while continuing to do what she’s already doing will be

handling Charities for the foreseeable future. So for any FGoTM or

Charity questions, concerns, issues please contact her and she’ll be

happy to help you out.

Don’t have anything new so I just want to reiterate what was I said last month.

DC Prestige requests need to be sent to ARC Outreach Nicki Boyles not

directly to myself. Nicki collects all the data puts it on her report

which then gets put on the SCRC report by Jess and finally gets

reviewed and edited by myself.

Also if you need an election ran please contact Nicki so she can get

the ball rolling. Currently the SCRC Staff is working with the SCRST

staff to run all elections. The RC staff runs all elections but in

the case of Storyteller elections ARST Admin William Sternenberg

serves as a Proctor and announces the winner as Coordinators aren’t

empowered to appoint Storytellers. This helps let the RST staff do

what they do …run plot and look at approvals for the region and they

still know who just got elected as a new DST. So if you need a DC

election ran just contact Nicki. If you need a DST election ran you

need to let Nicki and William know. Please title your email DC or DST

“Domain Name” election request.

National and Regional Charity donations need to be sent to my ARC

Charities Adam Tomplait, by your DC. The DC needs to send their

Domain’s donation in the National format. If you’re a DC and need a

copy of the file you can get it from the CRD files section or ask me

and I’ll forward you a copy of it. This makes it a lot less time

consuming for my ARC, myself and National. Which means prestige gets

awarded faster. Please title your email “Name of Charity”

National/Regional Drive “Domain Name”

Prestige Audits. If you’re log was returned for corrections and your

DC isn’t responding after 14 days. Feel free to send the log back up

to my ARC Prestige Julia Starr and myself. Just make sure you copy

your DC on the email. All Regional, National, Ordeal and Exceptional

Service prestige needs to have a link to support the award. While I

will accept you putting what Regional or National report the award is

on. It makes things a lot easier if there is a link. Please note

putting the Prestige Search Engine link isn’t good enough. You need to

put the link that goes directly with the award. — Reason Control

Find “Cam#/Name” is a lot easier to see than going through the

Prestige Search Engine Page and going through every item listed and

matching it up with the award on your log. Plus it’s National Policy.

For all Charity Donations you need to list how many items/hours you

did. Just putting Charity Donation 30G isn’t good enough. When

submitting a prestige log please title your email “Member Name Cam#”

MC 1-14 or Prestige Lock or Transfer request.

A note about Transfers, as this came up this month. I’m not force

transferring anyone. Be a member where you can have fun is my policy.

Though I won’t approve transfers for people who play where they live

and just want their memberships transferred somewhere else.

FGoTM prestige awards need to be submitted in the National format to

the ARC Event Mellissa Johnson . If the coordinator running the FGoTM

can’t find the file in the CRD email me and I’ll send it to you.

Please note you can’t get prestige for donating IC items to a charity

auction ran at your FGoTM. Only real items get prestige, there can be

IC stuff attached to the item. In the end though only real items get

awarded prestige. Not a piece of paper that says you’ll Avus someone.

There’s even a FAQ on the USNC stating as much. FGoTM prestige is

currently being posted on the USNC site see below in the RC report for

the ones I was able to approve so far. When submitting the prestige

from a FGoTM. Please title your email FGoTM Prestige for “Month Year”

ARC Arbitration

Danielle Lauzon, US2002022173

sc.arc.arbitration@gmail.com

Summary:

– This month was a little slow. I only dealt with one issue.

The Tulsa DC, Jackie Lanning, had opened an investigation on the

temporary member mentioned in last month’s report on the same incident

of intoxication at the Fayetteville game. I informed the Tulsa DC that

she did not have jurisdiction over the situation, and if she wanted to

appeal the Fayetteville DC’s decision, she should talk to Regional

about it. She decided to drop the investigation based on my

explanation.

Questions & Answers:

– Are there any ARCs that would like my help with things?

Projects:

– I wrote an opening Investigation form letter. I did it at the very

beginning of June, but I figured since it happened before I wrote this

report I would go ahead and include it since I think it is helpful.

*** Form letter ***

Dear [Member’s name],

I am writing to inform you that I am opening an investigation on the

allegations that you [Performed a breach of the code of conduct]. I

received information from [accusatory Member’s name] indicating that

you [did this particular activity that might be a breach of the code

of conduct]. This letter is an initial step in the investigation

process. I will be contacting the following members to obtain

testimony concerning this activity. [List of member’s names].

You have [Some number of weeks, suggested is 3 weeks] to compile your

own statement along with witnesses on your behalf to contest the

allegation. After the [number] week period, all information will be

assessed and a decision will be made. Please be aware that an

Investigation is not a Disciplinary Action. While you are under

investigation, you are not prohibited from any of your normal

Camarilla activities.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

[Coordinator’s name]

*** Explanation of terms used ***

[Performed a breach of the code of conduct] – this should be a

succinct and concise statement as to the type of breach caused. Such

as “… on the allegations that you punched Bobby at a game.”

[accusatory Member’s name] – this should be a listing of all members

that contacted you about this particular issue. If it was three

different members on three different occasions, list them all. There

is no such thing as an anonymous complaint, so all people should be

listed. Keep in mind that it is the same incident and just because a

bunch of people complained doesn’t worsen the offense at the end of

the day.

[did this particular activity that might be a breach of the code of

conduct] – this should be a more in depth description of the exact

activity and when it occurred that is being investigated. This should

be the only thing investigated. If this cannot be summed up at the end

of one sentence, then too many things are being investigated at one

time. Such as “… indicating that you attended the May 29th game

drunk which disrupted the game and made other members feel

uncomfortable in your presence.”

[List of member’s names] – this should be a list of the members that

you will be contacting, not the members that have already contacted

you.

Upcoming Events:

– None.

Prestige Awards:

– None.

Additional Notes:

– None.

Summary: Continuing to redesign and redevelop the newsletter into a

meaningful publication with valuable information for the region.

Hoping for a late June, early July first release which can establish

our bi-monthly release.

———————————————–

Questions & Answers: Will June/July, August/September,

October/November, December/January, February/March, April/May be an

acceptable release schedule? This gives us 6 releases a year, and

nicely hits seasonally and Before/after ICC.

Also, there has been expressed interest in a podcast for the region.

Is this something we wish to pursue on a semi-regular basis?

———————————————–

Projects: Working on a content submission for newsletter structure for

the RC to approve. This will include regular sections and overall

content structure. From that will devise layout with live content for

June/July release

SC ARC Events Report -May 2010

SUMMARY:

Dallas had their featured game last weekend (May 29th) – just waiting

on their report for prestige rewarding purposes.

QUESTION & ANSWERS:

Do we want to continue monthly FGs up to September, or should we scale back?

How early in advance do we want to prepare for the holiday season FGs,

if applicable?

PROJECTS:

May – Dallas FG Prestige has been reported and should be posted shortly.

June – FG in Austin – Announcements sent!

July – OPEN

August – FG in San Antonio pending – Also seeing discussion on their

list. I have sent reminders to the DC to get us a completed bid in.

September – FG in…?

October -???

PRESTIGE AWARDS:

None.

NOTES:

My previous report might have caused some confusion – June and July

are not confirmed FGs at this time. I still need completed bids from

the coordinator team, otherwise I cannot in good faith provide

approval. This is especially true for domains that have never done a

featured game before – in order to make sure it is a success, we need

all of the bases covered in your bid. Please get these in to me at

least a month before the game!

III. Questions & Answers

******************************************************************************************************

Questions for National:

None at this time.

Answers from Regional:

AR-013-I, Fayetteville, AR Domain Coordinator: Cory Gray,

vagabondkiss@rocketmail.com

Problem: I have a temp member (Bryan Tyler Davis US2009094770T), who

is having trouble… He says that he never received a confirmation

receipt when joining, and is unable to log onto either the white wolf

site or the CRD… Are these just features that temp members don’t

have access to, or not? Should I refer this to the director of

Memberships?

Answer: Trial members don’t receive a confirmation receipt because

they didn’t pay for anything. Trial members can access the White Wolf

site and the CRD, they are just unable to do ordeals. Make sure that

he has gone through the proper steps of setting up an account on the

White Wolf website

(http://camarilla.white-wolf.com/usnc/faq.php?id=171). If he is still

having problems, contact the tech team.

Problem: Our 3 newest members have also reported having difficulties

confirming their memberships when trying to go from temp status to

official status… Is there a bug in the system or a trick to going

from temp to full status that anyone knows of, or should I contact

Memberships?

Answer: You’re going to have to be more specific than “having

trouble.” Did they get locked out of their account? Did the “T” just

not drop off their Cam #? Were they unable to purchase a membership?

The FAQ is a good place to start looking for help/answers.

http://camarilla.white-wolf.com/usnc/faq.php?cat=30 If there are

still problems after following those directions, contact National

Services Administrator (NSA): Kristi Trujillo

memberservices@volunteer.white-wolf.com.

LA-007-I, Natchitoches, LA Domain Coordinator: Amanda Busby,

nedeera@hotmail.com

Problems: Joshua Shaeffer was never awarded his prestige for VST

requiem. I’m still working on getting my prestige log settled. I have

bought sodas and supplied food for the meetings as well as food for

games.

Answer: As DC you can backdate prestige up to 3 months. If it is past

that time, please send a detailed email to Paul ( cam.scrc@gmail.com)

and Jessica ( sc.arc.cos@gmail.com) so that it can be included in the

next regional report. For your prestige, you need to send it in with

your monthly prestige report to Nicki (sc.arc.outreach.com) so that it

can appear in the next regional report.

OK-010-D, Oklahoma City, OK Domain Coordinator: Jessica Fazio,

fozzie7829@yahoo.com

Questions: Can someone clone me so that the clone can work and I can sleep?

Answer: Sorry no, I don’t think Chris could handle two of you at once.

Let alone everyone else. =)

TX-055-D, Killeen, TX Domain Coordinator: Eugene Yeo, daydreamsofred@gmail.com

Questions: What can we do to rebuild numbers?

Answer: Try reading and using this document:
