SUMMARY

Hey guys,

This month has been long and challenging, to say the least. The office is getting back on track with many parts of our agendas. Unfortunately, life and the flu have impaired my abilities in the last couple of weeks to catch up with audits. With ICC next week, I plan to have all audits at my desk and reviews completed, so things are going to be a little tight in the office as we head into rush week. Thankfully enough, I have a new set of hands on the staff to get things situated. It is my pleasure to announce to welcome Chris Martire to the staff as AARC: Projects. He’ll be taking over the busy task of administrating the different projects at this office and the RCs office as needed. I am currently looking over applications for AARC: Prestige and, for those who have submitted a notice to volunteer for the position, expect to hear from me sometime this week.

It’s going to be a fun end-line stretch to

Now, a few reminders:

        Members – If you believe you should have been awarded Regional level prestige at some point between March and July, and it is not in this report – compile a list and send it to your DC. Your DC is responsible for reporting these items to Regional. Also, if you have submitted your logs through your DC for an audit, review or rebuild, and have not heard from me or my staff as of yet, please have your DCs send me a reminder and I’ll add it to my list of pending items to be taken care of.

        DCs – Please compile your members’ reports and send in a single document listing the information. This will help us track better instead of wading through an inordinate amount of e-mails. Please also ensure you are sending your info to the correct department. Regional office supplies, donations, audits, etc come to Prestige. Charities, Featured Game prestige, & Regional Meetings go to the ARC Services for processing.

        DCs – if you are missing personal prestige, please ensure that you send in your information to the appropriate AARC Prestige (depending on geographic location) and Cc myself, Jeremy and Jess for tracking.

PENDING PRESTIGE REVIEWS:

If you feel that you should be on this list, and aren’t, please have your DC e-mail myself and my AARCs at sc.arc.prestige@gmail.com, sc.aarc.prestige@gmail.com, and sc.aarc.prestige.2@gmail.com with a *Forward* of their original e-mail + attachment that was sent to Cat and/or Bekkah. That way I can ensure that your review is put in the appropriate place in line.

*I know there are more of these but I do not have all of the logs forwarded to me yet as of reporting time. Remember to have your DC forward your original request to us if you should be on this list.

REBUILDS COMPLETED

I have 4 rebuilds that require the final touches before distribution to their members. If you feel that you have had a rebuild in queue, please let us know and we will look up your information and address it accordingly.

If you have not had a rebuild in queue but think you might need one, please contact your DC or CC first. Have them compile as much of your prestige as possible, and then have your DC turn in a request to the Prestige staff for us to rebuild the “holes’ in what they were able to find.

*SC ARC Services Report – September 2009*

*SUMMARY*

-Launched September/October Regional Charity: Literacy Drive.

-Organized and reported prestige for September Charity: Literacy Drive –

emailed out after this report.

*QUESTION & ANSWERS

*Q. “I didn’t see anything for volunteering for the Literacy Drive. I am

currently donating my time volunteering at a local library. Can this be

counted for prestige?”

A. Absolutely. The typical exchange rate per hour of volunteering applies (1

hr = 5R). Keep up the great work!

*PROJECTS*

– Clean up ARC Services mailbox. Still knocking this out…

– Trying to get particular DCs to consider featured games – this has been

fruitless, unfortunately. But at least the seed has been planted.

-Pushing people to volunteer at ICC.

*PRESTIGE AWARDS*

None.

*NOTES

*As a regional team, please push our members to volunteer at ICC – they need

help in all areas.

There has been no response for a featured game for Oct-Dec. I think this is

to be expected, the holiday season makes scheduling games as a whole fairly

difficult. I’m thinking I should already start making all-calls for

Jan-March.

III. Questions & Answers ******************************************************************************************************Questions for National:

Answers from Regional:

OK-10-D, Oklahoma City, OK Domain Coordinator: Jessica Fazio, fozzie7829@yahoo.com

Questions: If FedEx and UPS were to merge, would they call it FedUp?

Suggestions: Immunity from sickness.

Answers:  Is it really fair if I answer my own questions? 😛

AR-012-D, Little Rock, AR Domain Coordinator: David Johnson, dc.ar012d@gmail.com

Questions: How do we go about getting October declared “Hug Your

Coordinator” month?

Answer: *waves magic wand* It is so!

AR-008-D, Jonesboro/West Memphis, AR Domain Coordinator: Lee Ledbetter, dcravensdive@gmail.com

Problems: recurring, mo #2 (From August 2009 Report) I am unable to locate Adrianna Prince, US2009074527T, in the CRD. Could you please look into this?

Answer: I as well have several people in my domain that do not show up in the CRD yet. Have your member log in and see if that fixes the problem. If it doesn’t, you will need to file a report in the mantis system (the “bug” button on the left hand menu will take you there) in the CRD. You can also email Wes (cam.global.tech@gmail.com) who is the tech person for the CRD.

OK-008-D Tulsa, OK Domain Coordinator: Jackie Lanning, tulsadc@gmail.com

Problems: *Steven Hulford US2009084580T, he is not assigned to the Tulsa Domain. I

will work with him to show him how to get assigned to Native Nights.

*Larry Gizienski US2004061541, This member is showing part of our Domain but

I do not have any records showing that he has transferred. What do I do?

*Still looking for help in rebuilding a prestige log for Liam Barnes

US2002045780.

Answers: Steven does not show in the CRD at all for me. Have him try to log in. If that doesn’t help solve the problem, then you need to file a report in the mantis system (the “bug” button on the left hand menu) in the CRD… or email Wes (cam.global.tech@gmail.com) who is the tech person for the CRD.

Check with the previous DC to see if there are any records for his transfer. If there are not, work with the member to start the process following the steps outlined on http://camarilla.white-wolf.com/usnc/faq.php?id=115

E-mail more specific questions to the ARC Prestige (and his assistant Ester). Is he looking for verification on past regional prestige? Does he have anything at all to start with?

IV. Projects

******************************************************************************************************

Regional Prestige Search Database:

The Regional Prestige Search Engine is well underway and I am looking forward to having it completed.  It well serve a well-deserved purpose and will pair well with other enhancements.

Prestige Approvals Database:

We have an excellent team working on this coding project and I am looking forward to doing some of the test trials so we can work to streamline the prestige process and eventually make it a much smoother process to submit, approve and audit prestige.

Prestige Guide:

Look for work to begin and complete shortly on the Prestige Guide.  This is a necessary resource to help educate our membership on the “pay” of the Camarilla.

FGotM:

We have recently had the FGoTM for September and it was highly successful.  I look forward to further FGotMs.  Please look at the bid guidelines that have been distributed by the ARC Services, Melissa D. Johnson.

Community Service Project:

September and October represent a “Back to School” mentality and the ARC Services in conjunction with the other RC Staff members has decided to launch a Book Drive.  Please reference the email sent out across us-sc-region for further information.  Please notice that the SC-Region Email List is the primary method of communication with the Region as a whole.

Recruitment, Retaining, and Mentoring Member Drive:

Community building is a necessary function of helping to build a strong Region.  The stronger our local domains; the stronger our Region will grow.  While recruiting a member is a definite positive; we want to include them in our communities and make them feel welcome.
