I. Summary

**********************************************************************

This has been a CRAZY Month. We did one round of hiring Prestige

Archivers. Getting those 3 individuals started and all of the information

put together on the Yahoo Group, took a ton of time.

Also, this month I realized that we didn’t have many of the old reports, so

I put a call out to the region for these and got several of them back. I

know there are many domains we are missing, but something is better than

nothing. Similarly, a note was sent to the ANC Chapters, Paul Hackett, to

see if I can get the old records from him. As he is new to the office, it

might take him a while to get everything in order.

The March 2007 report I completed. I also put together several (I think 6)

word documents from the US-SC-CoordinatorReports Archives so that the

Prestige team can transfer the information to the Excel sheets. Due to one

domain sending part of their report in an excel format, the archival program

WW uses makes it quite difficult to read, so much of my time this month was

dedicated to making sense of this so the work can be passed on.

This month had a big focus on educating the staff, the coordinators and the

region the importance of reporting your prestige as you earn it. Back dated

prestige takes a TREMENDOUS amount of time for my staff to make sense of and

to get it into the right report.

**********************************************************************

II. Questions & Answers

**********************************************************************

How do you want me to handle back dated prestige from now on back?

Coordinators can do up to 3 months of backdating (based on the Prestige

Ordeal), should I just add them in to the correct month as I have been doing

or do you have another plan? Also, many Coordinators have prestige from

their reports that are more than three months back, how do you want me to

handle that? According to the Prestige Ordeal, they need to be approved by

you? Ideas I have are a) you granting me the power to use my best judgement

(which means if it make sense I will just do it, and if it is odd, like the

one I sent you this month, I will say “HOWIE!!!” (Yes, this means you have

earned your exclamation marks J )), b) send this back dated prestige to you

each month in my report for you to adjudicate, c) whatever genius ideas you

have…

ANSWER: If you can easily verify the prestige, it’s all you. If not, forward

it to me for approval.

2) What policy would you like me to take for Out of Region Earned prestige?

I have noticed that several members last year earned prestige for a NC

Regional Charity drive. I am currently telling my team to ignore it (I

would presume that folks earning such would be able to get the proper

documentation for it). Let me know if I am on the wrong track.

ANSWER: If you have a question about prestige from another region, send it

to me to verify.

3) What category would members of the PAT (Prestige Archival Team) be able

to receive prestige? Also, what category would those who sent old Prestige

Reports be qualified to get? Until I know this, I am suggesting total award

amount and if this exceeds cap, I would like to “nominate” these individuals

for Exceptional Prestige.

ANSWER: As this is a long term project, it will go under Administration.

**********************************************************************

III. Projects

**********************************************************************

1) Put all of the prestige ever awarded in the SC into the National Excel

Template.

2) Make sense of all of the back reports.

3) Keep the Prestige Archival Team on track, answer their questions, and

monitor their work.

4) Currently hiring new members for the Prestige Archival Team.

5) Get the finished and reviewed reports to Pearce.

**********************************************************************

IV. Problems & Issues

**********************************************************************

1) One hired member of the PAT has been incommunicado. He has not been in

touch with me about the project since he was hired. I have sent him a final

letter to see if there was some major catastrophe that has kept him away

from his duties or if there is another reason. If I do not hear back from

him before May 10, I will be firing him from the PAT.

2) As previously mentioned back dated prestige is extremely difficult and

time consuming to work with. I believe you and I have worked out a system

to stop this in the future.

**********************************************************************

V. Prestige Recommendations

**********************************************************************

ARC REPORTS – Glenn Gibeson

ARC Reports April 2007:

Special thanks to:

Scott McGrath, TX-013-C, and David Brown, OK-005-D, for being the first

chapter and domain coordinators respectively to report for the April cycle

(The second month in a row for these guys)

Once again we have nearly perfect reporting this month, with only 2 “Late”

report and all active units reporting at the time of this report.

This falls just short of the exceptional service bonus I have in place to

reward regional reporting.

Coordinators please note this opportunity to get some additional regional

prestige:

Starting on the next reporting cycle, if we as a region can *all* get our

Chapter/Domain reports in *on time –or- early*, our fearless leader

Howell-zilla has authorized me to give 5 R Exceptional service

prestige.

Additionally, if we *all* get our reports in *early*, that goes up to 10 R

Exceptional service prestige!

Consider these to be one time thank you prizes from Howie and I to encourage

early reporting, this offer lasts until the prizes are claimed.

If we can show ourselves able to consistently maintain 100% on time

reporting, I will see what else I can talk him into to reward the effort.

**********************************************************************

III. Questions & Answers

**********************************************************************

QUESTIONS FOR NATIONAL:

: Question:

QUESTIONS ANSWERED BY REGIONAL:

: Question:

TX-055-D, 04/2007, Killeen Fields Domain Status Report

Comments: I have been advised that I should not give max prestige for

certain categories by the regional staff. Though I have taken this into

consideration, I will continue to give them the prestige as they deserve it.

Problems: Jeremy Brown’s Prestige log was sent up for MC audit, and have not

heard anything about it yet. This happened before the Report last month.

Answer: Normally this would be handled privately, but this is an important

topic that other coordinators may have questions about as well, so I will

explain the decision you are referring to below.

In actuality you were advised that you were in violation of prestige

guidelines by awarding more than 30 prestige for a single type of donation

under the Community Service category. While the overall cap

for Community Service is 70 prestige, donations must be broken up such that

no single type of donation is awarded more than 30 prestige.

It is important for coordinators understand the prestige guidelines, and not

award prestige in excess of the caps. These subcaps exist to keep players

with more money than others from essentially buying

prestige.

You were advised to correct this practice because all improperly awarded

prestige will be stripped in future audits, which will cause your members to

suddenly loose large chunks of prestige when they go

up for MC review and I do not want to see that.

While you may think you are doing them a favor by “hooking them up” with

extra prestige, I hope you understand that you are doing them a great

disservice by misleading them as to their actual prestige

totals.

If you have any further questions, please contact me privately.

TX-044 04/2006 Desert Moon DSR

Problems: Still haven’t seen any prestige for election proctors or regional

clothing drive. I have listed it here again.

Election Proctors:

DST elections – Jason Samp US2002034339 – 5R

DC elections – Anthony Marquez US2002022835 – 5R

Clothing Drive:

February

Jason Samp US2002034339 5 – 35 gal bags

Richard Klepper US2002022913 2 35 gal bags and 1 pair shoes

Maria Sanzone US2004102219 2 35 gal bags

March

Jason Samp US2002034339 5 – 35 gal bags

April

Maria Sanzone US2004102219 2 – 35 gal bags and 2 pr shoes

Devon Nichols US2005106770 2 – 35 gal bags and 2 pr shoes

Sam Nichols US2004102218 2 – 35 gal bags and 1 pr shoes

Kristi Reed US2005022967 2 – 35 gal bags and 1 pr shoes

Jason Samp US2002034339 5 – 35 gal bags

Questions: I cannot seem to find the National awards for the last

surveys, have they been posted yet?

TX-057-D, 4/2007, Midnight Yell (Nexus of Texas) Domain Status Report

Problems:

How many licks to the center of a lollipop?

Answer: the owl with the funny hate said three.

Questions:

The window curtains are gone, the paint is pealing, and the water in the tub

is boiling. What do you do first?

Answer: The water is ready, throw in the lobsters. (RC’s NOTE: Don’t forget

to flash the neighbors!)

TX-061-D 4/2007, Buried Hatchets Status Report

Problems:

— I would like to make sure Devon Weir, US2007039567, is added to the

Houston Domain in the CRD

— Done.

Questions:

— Many of my domain members were wondering when SCARE prestige will be

announced.

Answer: As soon as we can. It has been sent to national.

TX-059-D 04/07 Civitas de Immortalis, San Antonio

Problems:

Corrections needed on Regional Report. Jamiey Nuckols incorrectly identified

as DC and awarded the prestige for the office. Position performed and report

done by Haleigh Watson. Please correct this error

and update the regional records. Jamiey is identified as the domain

Coordinator in several places on both the February and March reports. Please

correct.

Questions:

Several members donated to the Toys for Tots drive in December and no one in

San Antonio has been mentioned on the regional report. Rebecca Morgan

informed me that she has sent the report in once more. Could I have

verification that it has been received and recommendations will be

addressed? This report has also been passed on to Ally Foxworthy.

TX-065-D April 07 Austin TX, Domain Status Report

Comments:

* The Domain needs to start thinking about whom they would like to be the

next DC. Due to curcomstances not foreseen when I took the position I do not

have the time and motivation to continue in the position to my satifaction.

The DC position in Austin must be filled by someone who will spear head and

pulll the domain forward, being very self motivated and forceful. As this

domain will do nothing to help itself without being poked and pushed. It is

my personal opinion that the chapters should be desolved and all members be

brought under one chapter/domain. We only have one chapter that maintains a

membership above 10, and this has been the case for some time. This Domain

needs to be forced to deal with each other and put aside the chapter

politics that exist in this domain.

TX-066-D, 04/2007, Structured Dreams, Domain Status Report

Current Projects:

The Domain of Structured Dreams has officially finished it’s DC election

with Joshua Montgomery taking the reigns for the group. Of course we wish

him the best of luck in his new position.

This month has seen a focus on getting our Domain updated. This includes

getting everyone’s prestige up to date and improving our presence (flyer

design and discussion of recruitment). We are also beginning to discuss

again hosting a Featured Game of the month at one of the several extremely

nice campus locations, however this may be some months off.

==============================

Problems:

(1) The Domain of Structured Dreams and its members participated in the

regional charity Clothing Drive last month. No prestige was given out for

the drive as no report came in from the ARC for that month or for this

month. We’ve contacted the ARC, AARC, and the RC this last month and

recieved a reply only from the ARC. We’re just making sure that we aren’t

lost in the shuffle again for this next month.

List Moderators Update:

With the new regional reporting format, I need to update the list of

moderators to ensure accurate reporting. Will everyone that is a moderator

of a list please contact me at scrc at tcworks.net with your Name, Cam Number,

and list(s) that you moderate.

Prestige Archival:

Bekkah Anderson has assembled a team to go back through all of the reports

and put ALL prestige into the National database format. It is our hope that

all of this will then be easier to track as all of the prestige will be in

one location.
