V. Prestige Recommendations

============================================

I. Summary

————————————————————————

—————

Not too much out of the ordinary. I’ve been directing email traffic to

the appropriate people. Conducted the Regional Meeting at the last

FGotM. I’ve been trying to help out as much as I can for SCARE. I

apologize this report is on the 12th instead of the 10th. I had

National Guard Drill this weekend.

============================================

II. Q&A, Suggestions, or Comments

————————————————————————

—————

I ask that anyone contacting the Regional Coordinator Staff, CC me on

the email. This allows me to keep tabs on current events, which in turn

helps to ensure that action items are being handled by the appropriate

staff member..

What is the status on the three new Independent Chapter applications

that were discussed at the Ft. Worth FGotM Regional Meeting?

ANSWER:

Fayetteville – AR-013-I–Fayetteville by Night – has been

approved. Enid and Victoria have met with Regional approval. We are

awaiting National approval and domain numbers.

============================================

III. Projects

————————————————————————

—————

SCARE- Now that SCARE has been approved, we need volunteers to hit the

ground running. We are only a month away.

IV. Problems & Issues (censored for public distribution)

IV. Problems & Issues

**********************************************************************

SCaRE has been the primary focus for me this last month, as well as the

rest of my crew. As a result, the Education team has put their focuses

in SCaRE and not had much time for regular Education stuff. Solution:

Time Management to the best of our abilities until SCaRE is over.

Lindsey resigned as AARC Online Academy and Event Services. Solution:

Splitting up the two roles he had. Shelley Welch has agreed to be Event

Services. Connon Kuhnhausen has agreed to run CRAM sessions when the

Academy is up and running. Need one more amigo. All Call to be sent.

Projects

**********************************************************************

Featured Games – After some confusion between regional and the Beaumont

domain, a bid was submitted for a Featured Game in February and was

approved. This will be the last featured game before SCaRE, and I know

they’re planning quite an event.

SCaRE-

Mitch stepped down as convention lead, and I stepped up in his place.

We have had several very productive IRC meetings, and lots of progress

has been made. A conflict with one of the leads is still pending, but

has at least been dealt with for the short term.

*********************************************************************

Problems & Issues

*****************************************************************

No problems currently.

**********************************************************************

Prestige Recommendations

**********************************************************************

I would like to recommend the following for their assistance:

Jessica Fazio, Cam # US2002034251

Jess is my right-hand woman, stress relief, second half of my brain, and

general gopher. She’s been a great help in sorting through the SCaRE

bids and offering suggestions.

I would also like to recommend James Leavings for 10 extra regional

prestige for his dedication in obtaining a site after the difficulties

with the original hotel for the January Featured Game.

I. Summary

**********************************************************************

*Pretty much the same old thing. I did have to do some serious updates

with all the staff changes. The new staffers were kind enough to send me

some sort of blurb to put in the newsletter. *All the old issues of

Sanctuary are on the Cam SCR site thanks to Will.

**********************************************************************

II. Questions & Answers

**********************************************************************

Two Questions:

1.Howie, can I put out another survey and offer 5 regional for it?

ANSWER: Yes.

2. I would like to find out just who is reading Sanctuary by putting in

a “cookie” that can be redeemed for regional prestige. Can I put a line

right in the middle of the newsletter that says, “If you read this and

send me an email you can get 2 regional prestige.”?

ANSWER: Have it something more than just “send me an email.” Have an

evaluation of an article or Sanctuary. Something.

**********************************************************************

III. Projects

**********************************************************************

*I will be conducting another Sanctuary survey as soon as I get word

back from Howie that it is ok. *It is my intention to bug the other ARC

folks until they give me stuff for the newsletter. I have the “Ask

Erica” column and the storytellers have been helpful with their

articles.

**********************************************************************

IV. Problems & Issues

**********************************************************************

Will has solved my server problem by putting the current and back issues

of Sanctuary on the newly created SCR site.

**********************************************************************

III. Questions & Answers

**********************************************************************

QUESTIONS FOR NATIONAL:

Please fold TX-002-C, Domus Sangreal and TX-003-C, Casa de los Waffles.

The members of the two chapters have already been moved to TX-061-D,

Buried Hatchets in the CRD. The members voted to fold the chapters into

the domain.

QUESTIONS ANSWERED BY REGIONAL:

: Question:

Midnight Yell, TX-57-D, Bryan/College Station– Jess Fazio US2002034251

Questions: I’ve got a real question! don’t die in shock!

Ernie Ramos asked me to forward this to you guys….Does the bi-annual

national prestige listed on the below website, for “Reporting

Recognition Awards” count —in addition— to the monthly regional

prestige awarded for early reporting? I inquired to ANC Prestige Pearce

Dreardin and he said he would ask NC Wes, so it’s being worked up at

national, but I wanted to get the ball rolling with regional.

http://camarilla.white-wolf.com/usnc/prestige_light/index.php?cat=76

ANSWER: The “Reporting Recognition Awards” are “exceptional” prestige,

the regional award is “Administration” prestige, so the two will stack,

for lack of a better phrase.

TX-014, 01/2007, Dark Sovereigns– Julie Graham US2002022036

Questions:

My DC is now informing me that I must remove members who are listed in

the CRD as having expired mid-month, as the CRD lists the exact date of

renewal. This has never been a policy of the club in the past – a

member remained a member for the month they expired in (or, more

recently, the first of the month they expired in), and we never tracked

by exact date. Is this a policy change I was not aware of? If so, it

seems extremely unfair to cut a member who expires on the 26th of a

month from that month’s report.

ANSWER: There was a one-time issue last year, due to the database and

other issues with WW servers, where members with expired memberships

were given an extension. Per the NC, a member expires on their

expiration date. There are no extensions, unless specifically stated.

Speaking of the CRD, my MC14 (Julie Graham US2002022036) was granted

well over a year ago, but has yet to be reflected there. I have been

told previously by regional officers that I have no control over

updating that part of my record, and to wait. Do you know when this

will finally be updated? It’s very hard to have faith in a system that

can’t even get your own records straight.

ANSWER: The updating of the MC is done by the appropriate level of

update the CRD.

Buried Hatchets, TX-061-D, Houston, Texas– Jeff Duncan, US2002022947

We would like to fold the two chapters in the domain. All members are

now to be listed as members of the domain:

TX-002-C Chapter Domus Sangreal

TX-003-C Chapter Casa de los Waffles

ANSWER: I have moved all of the members from their respective chapters

into the Domain. I have sent an email to the US NC and the ANC Chapters

to fold them on the CRD.

Problems:

— Getting everyone’s prestige totals has been a trying ordeal. I am

still trying to get this settled and much of my report may have blanks

because of it

ANSWER: Fight the good fight!

— I’ve had several members renew but have not been able to have the WW

database recognize this.

ANSWER: Have the followed the procedure to get their renewal credits per

the website instructions?

— Ron Loupe purchased a full year membership but it has not been

reflected on the CRD (US2006027342T)

ANSWER: If Mr. Loupe has followed the procedure for linking the credits,

have him contact the ANC CRD Owen Sutter – anc.crd at fortmisery.com.

Current Projects:

==============================

Problems:

(1) Since I became DC, which was last February 2006, I have tried to

get access to the website that we have on the camscr.org page. It is

currently still http://www.camscr.org/domains/huntsville/ and we have

as of yet never gotten said access. At the Regional Meeting at Ft.

Worth’s FGOTM we were informed that Regional has control of the regional

website, thanks mostly going to our new RST. I would like to know if we

will be able to get access to amend or change our page, or if the page

will be deleted, or if there are any other problems holding us back

currently? I’d like to get our website updated before I leave office.

ANSWER: Please contact Will Laymance about access to the website.

(2) As stated I was installed into office last February 2006, which

means there should be a DC election pending for Huntsville, Texas TX-066

we’d love to hear back from regional on getting an election started.

This may be a part of the CRD error that has no DC listed for Structured

Dreams, and has strangely my dates of office being from 5/2006 to

12/2006 which is incorrect according to the Prestige Reports and my

memory.

ANSWER: I got you in the CRD. I will inform Bert Sanders to contact you

about getting your election running.

IC Announcement for Requiem:

—————————————————————-

Citizens, Residents and Honored Guests,

Good evening one and all.

When both reward and responsibility are put in the hands of a

population, everyone becomes invested in the success of the State. As

true as it is for mortal States, when this theory was applied to a

Kindred Domain along with the application of judgment based upon true

individual merit, a mobile class governmental structure known as the

Meritocracy was formed in Southeast Texas on the 25th of February, 2006.

With this in mind, on the eve of our Anniversary we open our borders to

host you, our honored guests, in celebration. Please feel free to join

us in social gathering, so we may visit midnight together marking the

first of many years exemplifying Merit, Responsibility, and Citizenship.

Let us assemble in civility upon the evening on the 24th of February,

2007 at the Amethyst Hotel in Beaumont, Texas. Formal to semi-formal

attire recommended.

My ARC-Education pointed out a couple of errors….Apparently, I have a

fearsome temper!!!!

:D

Read and take note. The people that donated items should log it per the

“Donating needed materials to the Camarilla” under the Community

Service. Those who took the survey, that prestige will be awarded as

exceptional service.

Also, we only have the “special” room rates until February 26. Get your

rooms reserved soon!!!

Y’all have a nice evening!

Howell Herrin

US2002034609

Don’t be angry.

The survey taking should be exceptional service

prestige.

The donations to the drive should be community

service.

Could you please make an announcement to the region

with this update?

Thanks!
