Much of the usual answering general questions. There is the bit of

holiday slump.

III. Q&A, Suggestions, or Comments

**********************************************************************

I ask that anyone contacting the Regional Coordinator Staff, CC me on

the email. This allows me to keep tabs on current issues, which in turn

helps to ensure that ongoing issues are dealt with in a timely manner.

Can I get some info on the status of the Enid, OK independent chapter

application? I live fairly close by, and would like to help get them

going.

**********************************************************************

III. Projects

**********************************************************************

SCARE- Now that SCARE has been approved, we need volunteers to hit the

ground running. We are only 60 days away.

I’ve been doing my best to sort out the independent members of the SCR

in the CRD. I have the 20+ new members assigned. When I contacted the

new members from Enid, some of them told me they were going to be

forming an Enid Independent Chapter, and wanted to wait until then to be

moved. As such I have left them unassigned.

IV. Problems & Issues

Lack of Education training materials has caused cancellation of online

classes for January for quality concerns. In order to address this

issue, I will be putting together the training documentation for

February myself. Additionally, Connon has agreed to take over all CRAM

sessions. Online classes instructor pending.

I. Summary

**********************************************************************

http://rockpaperschism.com/files/jan07.pdf

This is the addy for the January issue of Sanctuary.

Here is the link for the old Sanctuary issues on Will’s server.

http://www.rockpaperschism.com/index.php?option=com_weblinks&catid=18&It

emid=23

I am going to print out the current newsletter and bring it to the FGotM

so folks can see what we have and perhaps get excited enough to want to

submit something themselves.

**********************************************************************

II. Questions & Answers

**********************************************************************

I would like to find out just who is reading Sanctuary by putting in a

“cookie” that can be redeemed for regional prestige. Can I put a line

right in the middle of the newsletter that says, “If you read this and

send me an email you can get 2 regional prestige.”?

Answer: Yes, but make them quote something or answer a question to show

they read it!

**********************************************************************

III. Projects

**********************************************************************

*I will be conducting another Sanctuary survey in late January to get

feedback on the new format of the newsletter. *It is my intention to bug

the other ARC folks until they give me stuff for the newsletter. I have

the “Ask Erica” column and the storytellers have been helpful with their

articles. I want things from the ARC staff in an effort to reflect what

the general membership wants. They asked for more substance and less

“fluff”

**********************************************************************

IV. Problems & Issues

**********************************************************************

Will has solved my server problem by putting the current and back issues

of Sanctuary on the newly created SCR site.

— We would like to fold the two chapters in the domain. All members are

now to be listed as members of the domain:

*Questions

1) I appreciate the answer in last month’s report regarding Kerry

DeWitt’s Ordeals, however I’ve already done some research at the USNC

website for these records. Kerry DeWitt is credited for the Ordeal of

Chapters twice when searched for by her maiden name (Beckett) and Cam

number. It’s my understanding that (a) back in the day, Ordeals had to

be paid for, and (b) in order to take the Ordeal of Chapters, Laws of

the Tome had to be completed first.

I’ve also visited the USNC Prestige’s website

(http://camarilla.white-wolf.com/usnc/prestige) to no avail. She has

memory of completing these Ordeals during the transition from NPO to WW,

so could that be the root of a lack of complete records?

Answer: That could be part of the problem. Please contact Pearce Dreadin

pearce at tampabay.rr.com for access to that data.

2) What is the status of Kerry DeWitt’s prestige audit? Wren Shafer,

the DC who submitted the audit has not received word, and I didn’t see

her name referenced in the November Regional report.

Answer: Please refer to section XI for Danielle’s response.

3) Our chapter website is no longer located at Into the Wind. The

updated site is maintained by Kerry DeWitt and is found here:

http://www.hyenaboy.com/ironorchid/index.html

LA-003-D, Shreveport, Bossier City, LA — Blood, Fire, & Fidelity DC:

Heather Knight, US2002066193,

Questions:

1) We have a newly returned member – Walker Ray, US2003061743 – who I

know has been a member of the Camarilla before. I know he attended

games in Shreveport at one time, but I cannot find any record of his

being listed in any previous reports. Additionally, he was in Baton

Rouge for a short time during 2004, but I do not know whether he

actually transferred to that Domain. How do I go about retrieving any

Prestige logs in such a situation?

Answer: As the member is ultimately responsible for his/her own

log, please make sure they have tried to contact former Coordinators

about this.

2) Leslea Cross, US2002022044, was apparently having her Prestige Log

reviewed for MC 12 at some point. However, I haven’t heard anything

about this since I took office. She appears, from the numbers in the

reports, to have enough Prestige to be MC 14. Is there any record with

the Regional Staff of a recent audit on her Prestige log?

Answer: No. Please have Ms. Cross submit her prestige log

through the proper channels.

TX-064-D, Greater Beaumont, Texas — Silent Redemption DC: Josh

Berthelot, US2002022460

Questions:

When are we going to see Prestige from the FGoTM Nov??

Answer: As soon as you read Section XIII.

Can I be added to the MC9+ list as I have been MC9 since Howie became

RC, but I am not listed.

Answer: I guess. 🙂

I have several members who show expired that I have personally seen

List Moderators Update:

With the new regional reporting format, I need to update the list of

moderators to ensure accurate reporting. Will everyone that is a

moderator of a list please contact me at scrc at tcworks.net with your

Name, Cam Number, and list(s) that you moderate.

Featured Game of the Month Program:

As some of you heard at the regional meeting at ICC, there are going to

be some changes to the Featured Game of the month program. The first is

that the games are going to be officially scheduled every other month.

If a domain wants to hold a game in an alternate month, they are welcome

to, but there will be no calls for bids in those months. This will

allow for a break between Featured Games, and will hopefully encourage

more attendance.

The second is that bids will be due sooner. Bids will be due the first

day of the month prior to when you wish to hold an event. So bids for

January will need to be submitted by December 1st. This will allow the

region to make plans to attend, and to give the winning domain over a

month to promote and prepare for their game.

So! With that in mind, bids for the next featured game are due December

1st. Start planning now! And again, if you would like to host a game

between now and the January Featured Game, feel free to contact me.

Regional Prestige Database:

Ongoing, preparing to merge with National Database of similar function.

Regional Website:

A new face has been applied! Will Laymance has gotten things up and

running. There are news events for the region! The thing that I like the

most is the “IC New Ticker” for domains around the region!

V. Upcoming Events

**********************************************************************

Feature Game of the Month in Dallas/Ft. Worth! January 26 and 27. James

Leavings is the contact. His email address is argynt at hotmail.com

The Event is taking place at the Green Oaks Hotel in Ft Worth, which has

given us a special “Camarilla” rate of $69 a night. That’s the lowest I

was able to find in the area! You can find their website here

http://www.greenoakshotel.com/ , for directions and other info!

We have a $10 Site Fee which covers not only all of the events for both

Friday and Saturday, and also covers the food and beverages as well.

Our Schedule for the Event is as follows:

Fri Start 4pm End 7pm Check in (Full Character sheets required) Fri

Start 7pm End 2am Requiem

Sat Start 11am End 3pm Forsaken

Sat Start 3pm End 7pm Awakening

Sat Start 7pm End 7:30pm Regional Meeting

Sat Start 7:30pm End 8:30pm Charity Auction

Sat Start 9pm End 2am Requiem

We will have catered beverages from 3pm on, on Saturday and will have

light catered food from 7pm until it runs out.

Check in will require full character sheets that can be left with the

STs, including approvals, and XP log. Please remember to bring those

extra copies, and check in will be fast!

We have a Charity Auction that already has items from as far away as

London (though we ARE still looking for more items to include), and some

definite goodies for several different Covenants. Our Special Guest

Auctioneer will be Ricky Kramer of the Beaumont domain. We will also

have light catered food and beverages during the Charity Auction as

well.

The Event is open to all, though IC invitations and Teasers should be

sent out in about 2 weeks. So come out, and have some fun (Requiem read

as Intrigue)(Awakening read as Mystery)(Forsaken read as

um

.Claws?)

If you have any questions, email me privately at Argynt at hotmail.com . If

I am not the person who can answer them, I will direct you to the one

who can.

Question from LA-003-D

2) Leslea Cross, US2002022044, was apparently having her Prestige Log

reviewed for MC 12 at some point. However, I haven’t heard anything

about this since I took office. She appears, from the numbers in the

reports, to have enough Prestige to be MC 14. Is there any record with

the Regional Staff of a recent audit on her Prestige log?

Answer: I have no records of this log. I will check with the previous

regional staff to find if this is on record. The best thing I can

suggest is to resend it with the updated prestige audited at the Domain

level.
