II. Summary

**********************************************************************

Answered a lot of little, on the spot questions here and there

throughout the month. Unfortunately I only had a chance to speak with a

few of the DCs, I didn’t get a chance to make the usuall round of phone

calls. Something I’ll be rectifying over the winter break. I did

manage to get the 60 or so unassigned members of the SCR assigned to

their closest Domains. I sent out emails to those members and the DCs

informing them of the change, and asking them to let me know if there

were any problems with that.

****************************** ****************************************

III. Q&A, Suggestions, or Comments

**********************************************************************

I ask that anyone contacting the Regional Coordinator Staff, CC me on

the email. This allows me to keep tabs on current issues, which in turn

helps to ensure that ongoing issues are dealt with in a timely manner.

**********************************************************************

III. Projects

**********************************************************************

With the new OK-012-I independent chapter arising. I’ll soon be

speaking with the Coordinators of OKC, Lawton, and Chickasha to ensure

there will be no issues arising in regards to Domain borders.

Regional Meeting! The staff is coordinating to finalize a date, be on

the look out for an announcement.

SCARE- Now that SCARE has been approved, we need volunteers to hit the

ground running. We are only 90 days away.

What is the ETA for our webpage to be live?

There is a continued struggle to plan FGoTM seminars without knowing an

upcoming FGoTM schedule.

I am waiting confirmation on SCaRE to place SCaRE seminars. A tentative

schedule to come out this month, but cannot confirm with instructors

without confirmation of SCaRE.

This month’s newsletter was, I believe, one of the most successful with

MUCH positive feedback. Only one problem and that was my fault. I forgot

to include Changeling in the venue listing. This was pointed out to me

and I have contacted the ARST Changeling Matt Williams asking for

something to put in his section. I want to thank Will our new RST for

his help with getting the old Sanctuary issues on a server. He has

generously donated some of his space to get the old issues up. My Silent

Redemption server has been having serious issues and refuses to let me

post anything. They are working on it with no end in sight. Here is the

link for the old Sanctuary issues on Will’s server.

**********************************************************************

What is our ETA for the new SCR website? I REALLY want to get these old

Sanctuary editions on there so people can see them!

**********************************************************************

III. Projects

**********************************************************************

I will be conducting another Sanctuary survey in late December or early

January to get feedback on the new format of the newsletter. I am also

interested in having the other ARC folks give me stuff for the

newsletter. I know that Erica has given me the “Ask Erica” column and I

would like to see more items like that. In an effort to reflect what the

general membership wants I am putting in more substance and less “fluff”

TX-023-C, 11/06, Rage Across Sixth Street Chapter Status Report

Comments: Have not been able to contact Amanda Bauer or retrieve any

information off the CRD. She has been dropped from the chapter list

until I hear otherwise from her.

TX-029-C, 11/2006, Iron Orchid, Chapter Status Report

Robert Martinez US2003122686

*Situations, Problems, and Suggestions

1) I’m having trouble locating Kerry DeWitt’s (formerly Kerry Beckett,

US2002023647) old ordeals. She is only listed for Chapters on the

various prestige pages regarding the old ordeals, yet chapter reports

from Ruby Chalice in 12/2002 indicate she passed “Amaranth, Praxis, and

Thespis”. Beaumont Domain reports on 9/2003 indicate that “Tome,

Chapters, Narration and Creation” were all passed. I don’t know if

these are the same tests with different names, or different tests

entirely because I didn’t become a member until the end of 2003. Is

there any other way of verifying that these old ordeals were completed?

Answer: The US National Coordinator has on his website (at

http://camarilla.white-wolf.com/usnc/prestige_light/index.php?cat=62) a

list of members that have passed the Ordeals.

TX-068-D, 11/2006, Westward Haven Domain Status Report

Janna Weiss US2003041532

Problems: (1) I was listed incorrectly in your last RC report as not

having turned in a domain report for June. In fact, I did submit my

report on June 1st, 2006, and still have the time- and date-stamped

e-mail if you need to see it. Could we correct this error? Thanks!

Answer: Please send the information to Glenn Gibeson, ARC Reports, to

correct this oversight. His email address is sir.smurfalot at gmail.com.

(2) Kim Wallach’s prestige logs are still in audit by her former domain.

We were told that there are problems preventing a timely conclusion to

this audit, but those reasons were not specified. We continue to work

with the Four Winds staff to get this resolved.

Answer: Is there a question?

Questions: (1) Does the 5 general prestige for transporting 2+ members

to an event cover both legs of the round-trip? For example, does the

driver claim 5g for transporting *to* the game, and 5g for transporting

*from* the game, or is the 5g awarded per event?

Answer: The 5 prestige is for the round trip.

(2) What is the procedure for requesting a change of geographical

borders for a domain? The Membership Handbook says that the RC has

authority over independent chapters, and the Camarilla Council has

authority over regions, domains, and independent chapters.

Answer: Contact the US-ANC Chapters, Liz Misamore –

usanc.chapters at gmail.com and the Regional Coordinator, Howell Herrin –

scrc at tcworks.net

(3) We have had resistance from local colleges when we’ve asked about

holding games on their campuses, and all the local parks have fairly

early curfews. Could you suggest some other types of gamesites that have

worked out well for others?

Local gaming shops, public facilities like libraries, and community

centers sometimes offer free space. West Memphis, for example, uses part

of the VA space.

Problems: We have one new player who is having trouble accessing his

account and setting up his membership. His name is Joshua Montgomery

and his e-mail address is jrm016 at shsu.edu and his membership was

purchased for him by Lindsey Vaughan. If membership services could

Answer: Please have him contact Member Services. Jamie Homampour –

LA003-D, 11/2006, Blood, Fire, and Fidelity Domain Status Report

Heather Knight US2002066193

Questions:

1) I have three members – 1 Temporary, 2 Expired – who have given me

money to renew/purchase their memberships. I have gotten the

information on how to go about doing that, and I will be purchasing

their memberships either Thursday or Friday. However, I told the

members that so far as I was concerned, they were full members as of

when they gave me the money. Is that “kosher,” as it were, since they

have actually paid for their memberships, and the only delay is me?

Answer: Technically, no. Please resolve this sooner, rather than later.

2) I cannot find any copies of the November RC Report on any coordinator

list. As a result, I cannot accurately record and report the prestige

awards for the officers in my Domain. Was a November RC report

published, and if so, where was it published? If not, will one be

published, and what was the reason for the lack of a report this past

month?

Answer: There was not an RC report for October. The report for October

will be coming shortly.

TX-055-D, 11/2006, Killeen Fields Domain Status Report

Josh Berthelot US2002022460

Questions:

I am thinking on doing a DC level survey to get the domain’s opinion on

some topics. Where would this fall under the prestige guidelines?

Miscellaneous? I was planning on awarding 5g for those who

participated.

Answer: Per the USNC website, surveys fall under Exceptional Service.

Since, technically, a domain coordinator cannot award the prestige, send

it up in your report as to who participated, so regional can award it

Can Trial Memberships gain Prestige/XP???

Answer: They may be allowed to earn prestige and experience. However,

they cannot gain from the benefits of those items until they have

purchased a membership.

Is it possible that we can get the Featured Game of the Month Bid

information posted again??

Answer: Yes. Please see the projects section.

List Moderators Update:

With the new regional reporting format, I need to update the list of

moderators to ensure accurate reporting. Will everyone that is a

moderator of a list please contact me at scrc at tcworks.net with your

Name, Cam Number, and list(s) that you moderate.

Featured Game of the Month Program:

As some of you heard at the regional meeting at ICC, there are going to

be some changes to the Featured Game of the month program. The first is

that the games are going to be officially scheduled every other month.

If a domain wants to hold a game in an alternate month, they are welcome

to, but there will be no calls for bids in those months. This will

allow for a break between Featured Games, and will hopefully encourage

more attendance.

The second is that bids will be due sooner. Bids will be due the first

day of the month prior to when you wish to hold an event. So bids for

January will need to be submitted by December 1st. This will allow the

region to make plans to attend, and to give the winning domain over a

month to promote and prepare for their game.

So! With that in mind, bids for the next featured game are due December

1st. Start planning now! And again, if you would like to host a game

between now and the January Featured Game, feel free to contact me.

Regional Prestige Database:

Ongoing, preparing to merge with National Database of similar function.

Some changes have been made. We have updated the contacts section of the

Teaser for Killeen Requiem

**Fort Worth has long been held by the Lancea Sanctum as a bastion of

faith,

yet few remember the sordid past of the city. It has long been covered

in

blood and that blood continues to stain it to this day. Come join us as

we

explore that which brings us life, blessed vitae, and the cost that it

must

extract from us. We explore the depths of faith, amorality, faith,

depravity and all the gamut in between. We explore the cost of being

the

apex predator and the harsh realization that you must prove yourself to

be

the consummate predator**

Teaser for Ft Worth Requiem

The dark half of the year has arrived. Nights are longer. Kindred can

scheme

and plot even more to their heart’s content. The city calls to the dark,

and

thrives within it. Murders abound, and yet no one can pin them down.

Items

go missing…people disappear. Is there a culprit? Is it you? Who knows.

The

city is rife with mischief on these long dark nights, and the Masters of

the

Night are out to play. The mortal population has been settled down,

allowed

out only for the nefarious purposes of those that stalk the night. It is

the

perfect time to come out and play. But the question is..what other

beasts

inhabit this dark night?

When we last visited the Mages of Fort Worth, they had just fought and

In celebration of a freed Fort Worth, under the rule of the Free

Saranna has sponsored a gathering, a Science fair for mages from all

have

accomplished, and to talk of the future of the city, to make friends and

(((OOC Note: This letter is embossed in silver on a light purple pastel

parchment, with the scent of a Lavender.)))

The Assembly of Fort Worth here by invite the Awakened populace of the

world

to a “World Technology Symposium”. Members of all Paths, Orders, and

walks

of life are invited to come and show their inventions and discoveries to

those attending. We shall start the night off with a local player by the

name of “Octavian, Prince of Darkness” (he and his stage hands are not

awakened souls, so please keep the “vulgar sciences“ to a minimum. After

the

show they will all be escorted out immediately and the festivities can

commence), followed by an exhibition of the technologies and discoveries

of

our kind. This will be an opportunity to make yourselves known, trade

with

others, and perhaps contact fellow members of your chosen orders. Bring

your

biggest and best for the world to see! This event is in celebration of

our

victory over Saint Michael’s Hand. All are welcome.

Anticipating your arrival,

Saranna Lanik, Speaker of the Fort Worth Assembly

Teaser for Odessa Forsaken game

The Shadow around Fort Worth runs rich with the blood from a deadly

civil

war. Beshilu and Azlu attack, battle after battle, trying to gain a

foothold above the other hated race. This war, encouraged by the city

spirit itself, is having a devestating effect on the Shadowscape. Is

there

anything left to save? Can balance be brought back to this tragic

place?

Having been dealt a deadly blow in the area of Dallas, few of the Azlu

that

surrvived the Forsaken assault snuck their way into Ft. Worth, trying to

wrest more control of the city from the Beshilu. That rats, angered as

their carefully gnawed holes were closed off by webs have been stirring,

chittering in the darkness like rats in the walls. They plot, they

plan,

and now . . . .

A vision to those that can recieve such blessings, a warning as what is

to

come if something is not done.

“A peaceful cityscape, where the spirits worked together in basic

harmony

There were small pockets of areas that were rife with chaos, but Chisolm

oversaw his city and kept such spirits in check. Then, a creeping

taint,

brought on the hungers and wanton needs of humanity. It seeped into

every

aspect of society, into the very air all breathe. Chisolm, tainted by

this

touch, called for the spiders, he guided the rats, and he opened his

land to

the bloody war that now is slowly sending his precious city to a barren

winter from which it might never return. Cold, barren fields. Empty

buildings with windows like yawning apertures. Everything is decayed,

is

devoid if the spark of life, and that taint, that creeping taint that

thrists for that spark of life begins to spread, reaching to take all

that

it can in its grasp.”
