III. Projects

IV. Problems & Issues

V. Prestige Recommendations

**********************************************************************

II. Summary

**********************************************************************

Answered a lot of little, on the spot questions. Basically I spent the

month putting out small fires all over. Went to ICC, had a great time

and met several cammies from the Region of Love. Contacted some of the

DCs, and shuffled around several membership assignments in the CRD to

make sure they were in the proper Domain.

****************************** ****************************************

III. Q&A, Suggestions, or Comments

**********************************************************************

Seems like with everyone being preoccupied with ICC, other stuff got put

on the back burner, and activity across the region was down.

I ask that anyone contacting the Regional Coordinator Staff, CC me on

the email. This allows me to keep tabs on current issues, which in turn

helps to ensure that ongoing issues are dealt with in a timely manner.

**********************************************************************

III. Projects

**********************************************************************

I am still championing the project for all ARCs to write up their own

Job Duties as they see them. This should be with a detailed

instruction set of how to fulfill those duties, should that ARC become

unavailable for any length of time. Some staffers have already

Domain Maps – These have proven to be useful in some situations, as an

easy reference.

Regional Meeting! We haven’t had a meeting in a while, and now we have

some new staff coming in. Be on the look out for an announcement.

**********************************************************************

IV. Problems & Issues

**********************************************************************

1. Many Domains seem to be suffering from a lack of activity according

to the DC reports. Please share what your Domain is doing, and what

events are planned. It is my recommendation that if a Domain or Chapter

is failing to host events (games/socials/charity) as recorded in the

monthly report, that hat the DC should get prestige in accordance with

the level of activity in their Domain/Chapter. It is my opinion that

Coordinators should not get full Officer prestige for an ’empty’ report,

even if it is on time.

**********************************************************************

V. Prestige Recommendations

**********************************************************************

This is for the October Regional Meeting at ICC. All attendees will

receive 5 Regional prestige. Except, of course, for Regional Staffers

(You know who you are.)

Table of Contents:

I. Summary

II. Questions & Answers

III. Projects

IV. Problems & Issues

V. Prestige Recommendations

I. Slow month with ICC and alot of the time being spent doing regional

elections before ICC. A few domains up for elections but pending on a

few requests still before we start the actual DC election.

II. No questions asked of me this month

III. Currently working with the Baton Rouge / New Orleans domain on a

referendum to see if the members wish to divide into two domains. Once

know if the members have a desire to do so will work with both domains

and the RC/ANC chapters to make sure that new domain boundary set up for

each and do the election for both DC’s. If no split wanted will then do

the current domains DC election as its due. Waiting on doing the Killeen

election until a few more of their members come back from active duty.

Waiting on getting on the OKC domain list to hold their election for DC.

II. Summary

**********************************************************************

This was a transitional month involving a lot of brainstorming and

information gathering. Survey was sent to General Membership,

Coordinators, and Storytellers for feedback on educational needs and

wants. Up and coming, I will be formalizing the feedback into practical

application of proposals in preparation of 2007.

Formalized job description is in the process of being sent to the ARC

Admin per his request. Included with the job description should be an

expanded curriculum including description of classes. Agenda, including

timeline of duties, and Class Curriculum (without description) has

already been sent to the RC and ARC Admin. I am hoping to get these

documents on our regional site with the Membership Kit for the Region’s

review.

Note: I will definitely need to engage up to three AARCs officially in

addition to seminar instructors with the following focuses –

AARC Education Online Services

AARC Education Documentation

AARC Education Event Services

At this time AARC Education Online Services and Event Services have been

combined into one position, and Documentation has also been added the

responsibility of Archiving.

Hired – AARC Online Academy and Event Services – Lindsey Vaughan

AARC Documentation and Archiving – Glen Davis

AARCs have been cleared with RC, and job descriptions have been sent to

the ARC Admin, per his request for job descriptions.

Upcoming: Education Dept monthly meeting. Designed to ensure that we

are all on the same page, timelines are being met, problems are being

discussed with solutions there to follow, and brainstorming ways of

improving Education in the region. Included in these meetings will be

the ARC Education, AARC Education Online Academy and Event Services,

AARC Documentation and Archiving, and any regional instructors (FGoTM,

SCaRE, and online) who wish to attend.

**********************************************************************

III. Questions & Answers

**********************************************************************

1. For training supply donations as listed on the 2007

Educational Department Agenda, can those be collected at the next FGoTM?

Do you have any other suggestions to collect supply donations?

ANSWER: These can be collected at any FGotM. Gift registries at

national chains?

2. Do I have access to the SC Regional Website as well?

ANSWER: Yes

3. What is the air speed velocity of an unladen swallow?

ANSWER: African or European?

Due to travel and time issues, I was unable to fully complete this task.

I am currently seeking information from those who attended in the form

of documentation on what they learned. I will send an all call in the

month of November for Training Docs created by our Region from these

classes, as well as rely heavily on my AARC Documentation and Archiving

Glen Davis who attended most, if not all, of those classes. (why, oh

why, did I drive, again?)

IV. Problems & Issues

**********************************************************************

The survey had some really wonderful information that will be sent to

the Sanctuary so that the results can be seen by those who took it. It

was very clear with this survey that the region wants the Education dept

to be a very proactive role in the region. This is my goal for the year

2007, and I will continually work to brainstorm on how we can fulfill

the needs of the region and reach out to our general membership. This

will be ongoing for the year with continual brainstorming on how to

correct this issue and problem.

I am pending placement of instructors and classes on FGoTM and SCaRE

information.

I am still not showing as hired in the CRD.

Projects

**********************************************************************

Featured Games – Schedule for Featured games has been changed to require

domains to submit bids by the 1st of the month prior to the month in

which their game will be held. This is to allow domains a longer time

to prepare their bid, and the region more time to

promote the game. Also, Featured Games will only officially be held

every other month, to give the region more motivation to go to those

games which are held.

SCaRE- A yahoogroups has been created for the ScaRE staff, and Jess and

I have already been brainstorming about things to do. Still no word

from the hotel about the contract.

*********************************************************************

Problems & Issues

*****************************************************************

The SCaRE hotel really needs to return the contract. There are other

negotiations that will need to be done by White Wolf, and the delay is

cutting into our prep time.

I would like to recommend the following for their assistance:

Jessica Fazio, Cam # US2002034251

Jess is my right-hand woman, stress relief, second half of my brain,

I. Summary

**********************************************************************

I had 53 people respond to the newsletter survey. I was really excited

about that. The feedback I got was phenomenal! I am in the process of

revamping the newsletter to include many of the suggestions I have been

given.

THE biggest suggestion I got was more information from the regional

staff! The general membership wants to hear from us more than they want

to see, what some called “fluff.”

**********************************************************************

II. Questions & Answers

**********************************************************************

What is our ETA for the new website? I really want to get these old

Sanctuary editions on there so people can see them.

**********************************************************************

III. Projects

**********************************************************************

I want to do a little blurb about each member of the RC staff to make us

more “real” to the membership. This was their single biggest complaint.

So far I have little bio type blurbs for most of the new members of the

staff.

It was also suggested that there be sort of a “Featured Domain” in each

newsletter so people could see who their neighbors are. I would include

contact information, some general idea of how far they are from said

large city that folks would know (ex: Beaumont is about an hour from

Houston). I would also include the venues that Domain is running to

encourage folks to travel thus keeping us the Region of Love!

QUESTIONS FOR NATIONAL:

None

QUESTIONS ANSWERED BY REGIONAL:

: Question:

AR-008-D: DC: Bill Rice, US2005075866:

Problems: We have two members in the CRD that need to be moved. Ray

Phetteplace III, US2003112546 needs to be put under Raven’s Dive Domain

and Johnathan Ingram, US2002022576 needs to be moved to the New

Orleans Domain.

RESOLUTION: Both members show correctly.

TX-57-D, DC: Jessica Fazio, US2002034251:

Questions: What’s the square root of 9136?

ANSWER: 95.582425162788164108098395841677

.

Matt Adams – transferring to Killeen because that is where he lives now.

E-mail sent to Killeen DC, Killeen DC oked it, it is sitting on Howie’s

desk.

RESPONSE: Approved.

David Bratt – moved to Florida during the spring. I never saw a

transfer go through on previous reports. Shanna Gorman – moved to Austin

during the summer. Again, I never saw a transfer listed on previous

reports.

RESPONSE: I did not find the emails requesting moves. Please resend to

scrc at tcworks.net

For that matter, what about Jackson Roberts (US2002034314) who moved to

Atlanta and is now in DC… I don’t know that he even does Cam anymore.

Also, Chris Edwards (US2002022882) has been in Dallas for at least a

year… I can only see 18 of the 37 members assigned to BCS on the

CRD… are they still assigned to us? If so, that needs to be changed.

ANSWER: The members in question may be in the “EXPIRED MEMBERS”

category. They may have not gone to

TX-064-D, DC: Joshua Berthelot, US2002022460:

Questions: I am thinking on doing a DC level survey to get the domain’s

opinion on some topics. Where would this fall under the prestige

guidelines? Miscellaneous? I was planning on awarding 5g for those who

participated.

RC PLEASE CONTACT ME ASAP. This is the Second Month in a row for this

request!!!

LA-003-D, DC: Heather Knight, US2002066193:

Questions: How do I get my Prestige tracked by Regional? I’ve been told

to simply list it under my name and it will be added to the Regional

Report. However, I have yet to see any of my Prestige appear in the

Regional Report and I have no idea how to get my Prestige tracked. I’d

appreciate an email with this info.

ANSWER: Please send your prestige to the ARC DC Prestige, Christopher

Morris, morrisly.one at gmail.com

TX-059-D, DC: Jamiey Nuckols, US2002023152:

Questions: Has any progress been made on the transfer of Ally Foxworthy

to our domain? I’ve been copied on her emails, but have recieved no

reply.

ANSWER: If there are no outstanding issues, the transfer is approved.

List Moderators Update:

With the new regional reporting format, I need to update the list of

moderators to ensure accurate reporting. Will everyone that is a

moderator of a list please contact me at scrc at tcworks.net with your

Name, Cam Number, and list(s) that you moderate.

Featured Game of the Month Program:

As some of you heard at the regional meeting at ICC, there are going to

be some changes to the Featured Game of the month program. The first is

that the games are going to be officially scheduled every other month.

If a domain wants to hold a game in an alternate month, they are welcome

to, but there will be no calls for bids in those months. This will

allow for a break between Featured Games, and will hopefully encourage

more attendance.

The second is that bids will be due sooner. Bids will be due the first

day of the month prior to when you wish to hold an event. So bids for

January will need to be submitted by December 1st. This will allow the

region to make plans to attend, and to give the winning domain over a

month to promote and prepare for their game.

So! With that in mind, bids for the next featured game are due December

1st. Start planning now! And again, if you would like to host a game

between now and the January Featured Game, feel free to contact me.

Regional Prestige Database:

Ongoing, preparing to merge with National Database of similar function.

Regional Website:

Some changes have been made. We have updated the contacts section of the

Coordinator page. My new tech is redoing the website. If you have any

ideas or suggestions please send him an email at brian at zombiebait.com
