II. Summary

**********************************************************************

Been trying to keep an eye on the administrative work for the region, while

covering down for the ARC Reports. Answered a lot of little, on the spot

questions. Helped some returning and transferring members track down old

prestige records. Finished up the maps for the region. I’ll be contacting

the DCs to discuss domain borders and any other issues they may have.

****************************** ****************************************

III. Q&A, Suggestions, or Comments

**********************************************************************

Combined with ARC Reports this month

**********************************************************************

III. Projects

**********************************************************************

I am still championing the project for all ARCs to write up their own Job

Duties as they see them. This should be with a detailed instruction set of

how to fulfill those duties, should that ARC become unavailable for any

length of time. Many of the ARCs have worked for previous RC

administrations, and as such have become experts in how to fulfill their

roles. This is especially true with the new staff members coming in. If

they had instructions ready and waiting, it would make the transition

easier. In any case, I’ll do my best to work with the new staffers to get

them settled in.

Domain Maps – I’ve submitted my findings to the RC staff, and have tried

sending the maps to the sc-coordinator list. The pictures are a little big,

so they are awaiting moderator approval before hitting the list.

Regional Meeting! We haven’t had a meeting in a while, and now we have some

new staff coming in. Once they are hired, I’ll check their schedules and

try to figure out a time when most of the staff can attend an online

meeting.

DC Prestige – There will be a new ARC DC Prestige appointed soon. DCs need

to be sure to report their monthly prestige to that ARC for official

recording of the award. It is all well and good for a DC to track his own

prestige records, as any general member can and should, but to be an

official reward, it must be recorded by their Direct Coordinator.

**********************************************************************

IV. Problems & Issues

**********************************************************************

1. Many Domains seem to be suffering from a lack of activity according to

the DC reports. Please share what your Domain is doing, and what events are

planned. It is my recommendation that if a Domain or Chapter is failing to

host events (games/socials/charity) as recorded in the monthly report, that

hat the DC should get prestige in accordance with the level of activity in

their Domain/Chapter. It is my opinion that Coordinators should not get

full Officer prestige for an ’empty’ report, even if it is on time.

ARC: Special Projects and Elections – Bert Sanders

South Central Region – Election and projects Report

Aug, 2006

Table of Contents:

I. Summary

II. Questions & Answers

III. Projects

IV. Problems & Issues

V. Prestige Recommendations

I. Busy month here with local feature game and working to help pull off

Howl as well as other elections. Finished 3 elections and have another that

is one 2nd call and another that is in Q/A vote phase. Working to go through

CRD and make sure we have complete info on all coords in there as well as

sending a monthly reminder to lists about tests and expiration dates.

II. No real issues other than having to do a 2nd call for one domain but

since that call went out already have an application just no proctors. Also

some areas can see the lack of wanting to do much in that have one election

that has a single local proctor but ran it anyway as still have 2 proctors

which is all that is required by the handbook.

III. Listing of all DC’s with end dates to place in report so that can

better track elections and not have them sneak up on me or other election

person. Good thing is that now with the CRD tracking dates hired can make

sure that info is correct in reports as long as after each election update

the crd with the new hire date.

West Memphis Election – Finished

Houston Election – Finished

Shreveport election – Finished

BCS election – Q/A and vote phase

Lawton – 2nd call for applications sent 1 application recieved so election

is a go

IV. No issues other than some lack of people willing to step up and lead as

a cood. Hope that can work with education as well as use feature games to

try and get people involved more. While the game is main focus for some the

cood staff is needed to suport the game as well as add the more social

aspect of the org.

Any news on the new website? The older issues of the newsletter are still

housed on the Silent Redemption website until they can be moved to the SC

website.

http://www.silentredemption.com/content/newsletter/sanctuary.php

Can I send out a survey asking the membership what they would like to see in

Sanctuary? If so, may I offer prestige for it? How much?

Answer; Yes, you can send out a survey. I think 5 R for each completed

survey would be appropriate.

QUESTIONS FOR NATIONAL:

None

QUESTIONS ANSWERED BY REGIONAL:

: Question:

TX-029-C, Austin, Robert Martinez, US2003122686

Where did the List Moderator information/prestige recommendations go in the

Regional Report? How is/was that information calculated (i.e. number of

emails in a month, is a list moderator technically an A*C-Communication who

needs to file a small report, does a member of the Region need to be on this

list for tracking, etc)?

Answer: Mr. Martinez, I cannot find the email that has this answer. Let me

keep looking and I will answer this question next month.

TX-044-D, Odessa, Maria Sanzone US2004102219

I am still having problems getting the DC report template from the CRD, who

I contact for this?

Answer: First I recommend submitting a report in the CRD bug tracker. If

they are then unable to solve the issue, try contacting Membership Services

at memberservices at white-wolf.com memberservices at white-wolf.com> .

That office has been very helpful in resolving such matters in the past.

OK-008-D, Tulsa, Jen Overmeyer US2002034026

1) Richard Chatfield US2005033047 renewed and was given a new number

US2006078192 renewal confirmation # 379327, I need to know how to apply the

renewal to his US2005033047 number and info.

Answer: On occasion, errors do happen. Please contact the National Services

Administrator (Jamie Homampour – memberservices at white-wolf.com) to resolve

the error. While the error is being investigated and resolved, he will be

able to participate fully in the Camarilla, though you may want to see

copies of the emails he has exchanged with the NSA to make sure that there

are no difficulties.

2) John Hall us2002-02-1864 was a member of the domain but left the

Camarilla for a while and has just rejoined. How do I confirm his prior

prestige?

Answer: Members who allow their membership to expire, then rejoin the

Camarilla at a later date, are still able to claim their prestige from their

prior time spent as a member of the Camarilla. When they return to the

Camarilla, they simply submit their prestige log with all appropriate

verifications to their coordinator chain for a normal prestige review, after

which they will be awarded whatever Member Class is appropriate for their

prestige log. If the member has documentation of their prestige log being

reviewed and the appropriate Member Class being awarded prior to their

departing from the club, then they may use their awarded MC during this

review process. If they do not have documentation of an awarded MC, then the

MC is not available until the review process is complete.

If his prestige was reported properly, then the log can be reconstructed by

reviewing old chapter reports. First, talk to his former direct

coordinators, as they often have archives of old reports. You can also

contact the ARC Archives (Rindy Kendle novadragon at immortaldanse.org), or the

ANC: Chapters (Liz Misamore usanc.chapters at gmail.com) if nothing else works.

3) Crystal Remy US2002034713 has questions on her MC lock and has not been

able to contact anyone for additional info, who handles questions about

locks?

Answer: Questions regarding National Prestige reviews and MC locks should be

directed to the ANC Prestige (Pearce Dreadin, pearce at tampabay.rr.com

pearce at tampabay.rr.com>)

LA-003-D, Shreveport, Heather Knight, US2002066193

1) I could really use some help with recruitment efforts. Is there an ARC

dedicated to just such instances, and if so, could he or she please contact

me?

Answer: Several new ARC positions are about to be appointed, including an

ARC Recruitment/Communication. Keep your eyes peeled for the announcement.

2) Need a gamesite, and currently don’t have anything available. I have no

idea where to start looking. Any suggestions?

Answer: Members homes are a cost free option. Often local game stores will

host games in exchange for the increased foot traffic in the store. Local

Universities and community centers offer low cost or free alternatives as

well. Shoot the SC coordinator list (us-sc-coord at cammail.white-wolf.com

), to find out what other

Coordinators in the region are doing.

3) Is there any way for me to see the other 12 people assigned to my Domain

in the CRD? I can only see 8 of the members, but the CRD says there are 20

total.

Answer: The CRD does show two numbers associated with a domain. The

‘assigned’ total includes active and expired members. Expired members will

show on the member list for 3 months, and then they will no longer appear

but will still be in the ‘assigned’ total. That way if they renew they will

automatically be assigned to their former domain. The ‘active’ listing

should be an accurate number of how many members in good standing are

assigned to your domain, excluding members assigned to sub-chapters. They

will show up on the sub-chapter’s listing.
