June 2005 ARC Education Report

I. Summary

I gathered material necessary constructing the New Coordinator and New

Membership packets. Spoke with various coordinators at the featured game

in Forth Worth, after attending the regional meeting, regarding topics and

elaboration they would like to see in the coordinator packets.

New Coordinators packet completed on 6/29, and reviewed by outside source to

determine ease of understanding.

I’m currently behind schedule on the New Membership packet, but should have

it completed by July 20th.

I hope to make it to the featured game in West Memphis and speak with

additional coordinators and members in regards to what they wish to in the

upcoming packets.

II. Questions & Answers

I am curious as to the thoughts of the order in which these packets should

be assembled. The list is as follows:

“Understanding the Membership Handbook”

“How to track my prestige”

“I’m an officer again, I need a brush up”

“The Ordeals and why they are important”

“Disciplinary Action/Appeals Procedures”

“Conflict Resolution Procedures

I am also curious as to what other subjects should be covered not already

mentioned. Thoughts?

III. Questions & Answers

**********************************************************************

QUESTIONS FOR NATIONAL:

None

QUESTIONS ANSWERED BY REGIONAL:

AR-012-D: 1.) I sent a list of our game schedule and up coming events to Jen

Canales to be put up on the CamSCR.org webpage. I have not heard back from

her as to whether or not I gave her inadequate information and the

information I gave has not been posted. How do we get events posted on the

website?

Answer: Normally, you would send them to Jen. However, with the new staff

that was selected last month, we are still making sure we get everything

covered. As soon as we can get the necessary information to access that

portion of the website, we will be able to update it in a timely fashion.

2.) I am experiencing a very common coordinator problem and would love

advice. How do I get members with complaints to come to me with them so I

can try and fix them? My job is to do my best to keep everyone happy, and I

want to do it, but can’t even try if they won’t let me know what’s wrong.

Help!

Answer: Sometimes its best to set up an intermediary system to where members

don’t have to come directly to you. Sometimes they feel intimidated or

embraced in their problem with you.

3.) I have sent up three members’ prestige logs for the Voluntary National

Prestige Audit and haven’t heard anything back. It has been several months.

Is there anywhere we can look these up?

Answer: Inquiries of these audits should be sent to Bryan Coleman

(prestige at camscr.org), and he can help hunt down the status of your pending

requests. If they were approved and the letter of such was lost, the locked

totals can be found here,

http://camarilla.white-wolf.com/usnc/prestige_light/mc_verification.php

LA-002-D, Nights of the Red Tables: The new Cam site has caused me to be hit

with a few questions. One was that someone couldn’t remember their iCam

password and needed to know what to do. I put him in contact with member

services to try to remedy the trouble.

Answer: Membership Service is great at handling such problems, and if you do

not have the situation resolved by now then send another message to check on

its status.

OK-005-D, Immortalis Saltatio: I need a clarification. It deals with Soda

Donations. I need a clear cut run down about it. Is the most anyone can

claim for soda donation per month is 10 G or only 10 per soda donation up to

a max of 70 G for that category?

Answer: Generally there is a standard for soda donation. 3 G for a six pack,

5 G for a twelve pack, 10 G for a 24 pack. The max for that category is

based on donating materials and community service, so only in extreme cases

would 70 be awards for only donating items. For more information visit,

http://camarilla.white-wolf.com/usnc/faq.php?id=128

OK-011-I, Ivory Tower: Having trouble getting Russel Cohen assigned as the

VST in the ‘old’ approvals database and the new CRD.

Answer: Contact Katherine King, bladededge at comcast.net

As CC will have access rights on the CRD to ‘rope in’ the members of my

chapter that are unassigned, or will they have to link their white-wolf log

in, get into the CRD, and assign themselves to the chapter? Would the same

hold true for getting a character attached to a VSS?

Answer: As soon as they link themselves to the new CRD, I can assign them to

the proper Chapter/Domain. If you know of members that need to be moved

please contact me.

TX-003-C, Casa de los Waffles: I listed members who participated in the

holiday regional blood drive in January’s report. I still haven’t seen any

reference to them in the regional report. Did I miss anything? I also asked

this in my last report and did not see any response in the regional report.

Answer: Please contact Howell Herrin, SC-ARC Admin (ghideon at tcworks.net)

with a copy of the report. All drives during my administration have used

website reporting for Regional Drives, and any report claims of drive deeds

were most likely overlooked as a mirror of Regional awards.

TX-044-D, Desert Moon: How will we know when Neglect prestige goes out? We

have some members who are expecting prestige from that.

Answer: An announcement will come from the presiding coordinator when

Neglect prestige has been confirmed by National.

Stephen Henry US2002034528 is missing his volunteer prestige from SCaRE this

year. He volunteered in the Hospitality Suite and Security

Answer: Did he sign in? He wasn’t on the list of either section for

volunteering. I need of list of how long he worked those stations send

immediately to me (rc at camscr.org) because I’m in the end steps of releasing

the really really final SCaRE prestige for 2005.

TX-055-D, Killeen Fields: With the new DC without chapter policy now in

affect do i have to go through there for a prestige audit or normal

channels?

Answer: As a DC without a Chapter Coordinator, all of the DC’s audits will

go through Regional, up to the normal level of Member Class.

TX-061-D, Buried Hatchets: Decadent Deviants, TX-052-C, now has 4 members

and no one who is willing to run for chapter coordinator. Should we fold it?

Answer: If the chapter members want to fold the chapter into a Domain, that

would be the best course of action.

TX-064-D, Silent Redemption: 1. Is it an oversight or did Stephen Bearden

did not receive any prestige award last month for being ARC Archives??

Answer: Stephen Bearden was awarded 40R for May 2005, ARC-Archives. It was

released in an addemmum.

2. Who do we contact for tracking our local lists @silentredemption.com for

the moderators can get prestige?

Answer: That is one of the last items to be assigned in the upcoming days.

An email will be coming from the Region that speaks to this issue.

TX-065-D, No Witnesses: Laura Hopolito is the new CC for Rage across 6th

Street; she has not been added to the Reports list…her reports have been

attached to this one

Answer: Thank you for attaching it. I was waiting on a confirmation e-mail

from her before adding her, but I’ll get her joined now that I know she is a

CC.
