May 2005 ARC Special Projects/Elections

Elections in progress:

Domain Coordinator; LA-003-D, Blood, Fire, & Fidelity:

Call for Applications made June 9, 2005.

Domain Coordinator; TX-057-D, Nexus of Texas:

Call for Applications made June 9, 2005.

Domain Coordinator; LA-006-D, Vinetum Noctis:

Call for Applications made June 7, 2005.

Domain Coordinator; TX-055-D, Kileen Fields:

Call for Applications made June 7, 2005.

Domain Coordinator; AR-008-D, Raven’s Dive:

Call for Applications made May 25, 2005.

Applications received and screened, June 7, 2005.

Voting underway as of June 11, 2005.

Projects:

I have completed a schedule, based on the information in the April Regional Coordinator’s report, to aid in the planning and running of DC elections throughout the region. This schedule should prove a simple, but effective tool for starting DC elections around the region early enough that they can be concluded in time for the incoming DC to be confirmed and prepared to take office before the current DC’s term expires.

Unfortunately, the volume of elections to be run right now has all but

prevented me from throwing myself into any other projects at this time.

Problems:

None at this time.

May 2005 ARC Community Service

Problems:

Lists being down so much at the end of last month really hindered me in

getting started.

Projects:

So far I’ve managed to (finally) get my introduction email to the SC mailing list. Soon comes the fun stuff.

Once lists are running smoothly again, I want to start talking to

coordinators and getting a list of personal email addys to send messages to so that I can have more than just a generic email to a list. I realize this list will be difficult to maintain with all the changes that happen, but I believe that the effort needs to be made if we are to get this rolling.

Written guides come soon after.

III. Questions & Answers

**********************************************************************

QUESTIONS FOR NATIONAL:

None

QUESTIONS ANSWERED BY REGIONAL:

LA-002-D, Nights of the Red Tables: Question: Any time table on when the SCaRE prestige will be made available?

Answer: ScaRE prestige is currently being reviewed to insure that accurate totals are reported. It should not be much longer. If everything goes smoothly, we hope to have it published within a week.

LA-005-C, Vin Blanc: Problem: Several of the Temporary Members have paid for their memberships, but are not able to renew through iCamarilla since they are not assigned to a domain.

Solution: Send me a list of these names and I shall assign them to your

Domain. (rc at camscr.org)

TX-044-D, Desert Moon: 1. Last month’s ST awards for our Domain don’t match. Is there a Reason Requiem VST Dennis Gilmore only received 33 G instead of the usual 38? (VST Requiem – Dennis Gilmore, US2002023507, Early Report, 4/27/2005,33G 2R)-per Regional Report. 2. Chris Molsbee was awarded ST award for early reporting (12 N) twice(Bryan Coleman), but can’t seem to find those reports (help?)

Answer: 1. Maybe just a typo, e-mail the ST staff Admin: Katherine King at bladededge at comcast.net

2. As far as I know the awards are still waiting to be awarded by national.

See Regional ST staff for more info. E-mail Bryan Directly on that one.

TX-57-D, Nexus of Texas: Questions: 1. Would it be possible to change our domain number? We used to be TX-001-D, but it changed to 057, most likely due to us becoming a sole Domain with no chapters. We were the first domain in Texas, would it be possible to get our number back? I noticed on iCAM, it is an option to change, but I wanted Regional to give the okay/suggestion first. I know it will become a problem with paperwork later on, but I would still like some input. I believe this question has been up for at least 3 months now.

Answers: We moved to a National structure for numbering Chapters/Domains about two years ago to standardize our system. The format used is State-Number-Type, which is a flexable formula that allows a Chapter to become a Domain and vice versa without huge renumbering issues. Therefore since there could only be one 001, and it was taken by TX-001-C (Ruby Chalice), your Domain had to be given the next new number which was 057.

TX-058, Collateral Damage: Question: OFFICIAL REQUEST: I am officially

asking for permission to rename the Dallas Camarilla Domain to Collateral Damage from 8th Legion.

Answer: This change has been noted.

TX-059-D, Civitas de Immortalis: Question: Can I have New Braunfels and the suburbs surrounding San Antonio added to our domain boundaries?

Answer: Please write me in private so we can discuss this situation

(rc at camscr.org)

TX-066-D, Structured Dreams: Questions: Curious about the time table on when we might see the remaining Ordeals come out?

Answer: Ordeals may be put on hold while other option and possibilities are discussed. I’ll look into this and come back with a better answer.

Plaza Hotel, 1701 Commerce, Fort Worth, TX 76102 www.fortworthplaza.com/

For reservation you can visit the website or call 817-335-7000 there are

rooms available for a limited time for $59.00 a

night. Great location easy off and on Interstate I-30 downtown Fort Worth.

Time: Character Check-in Starts at noon.

Werewolf at 1:00 pm

Regional Stuff at 6:00 pm

Requiem at 7:00 pm

There will be a silent auction to benefit the Fort Worth’s Men’s Shelter,

noon thru 6:00. Your donations welcome.

For Information you may contact Julia Brown at email lildraggin at comcast.net

or lairenj712 at hotmail.com or Stephen Brown at email

dragginrider at hotmail.com. Or by telephone 817-987-1572 or 817-994-8198.

Game Details:

Afternoon Werewolf: The Forsaken: An indoor game rather than an outdoor game this will break many molds from Werewolf’s past. there is no big bad enemy, there is no caern to raise. The local pack will be putting forth the call to help clean up a high school left in neglect since it and segregation was abandoned. What has festered there for decades waiting to be discovered. Which spirits should remain and which should be kept? Will the Forsaken choose to destroy the loudest and angriest. giving an ultimate last

insult to the “colored” folk taught here? Will they see the true evil for what it is?

Afternoon Silent Auction: To be completed before Vampire, the local shelter will be benefited by an IC/OOC auction as approved by ST’s and Coordinators. We will be trying to get people to donate items for it and will of course be kicking in several ourselves. Should the RC/ST staff be happy to help out. that would be nice.

Evening Regional Meeting: After a break from Werewolf to get supper, or for people skipping Wolf and coming to Vampire, there will hopefully be a Regional Meeting and Discourse about various upcoming and current events. Up to RC and RST there.

Night Vampire: The Requiem: An indoor game that will take place in a few stages. First, there will be a Symposium of the Alliance called for by Yorrick and Cedric Vandal-Frank. During this, they will hope to seek a discourse between the first and second estates and establish a better bond in the Region (after the debacle of New Orleans for the Alliance.). If someone has a grievance they will have the chance to present their case quickly, if it is of high import. Second, there will be a party thrown in honor of or more as a cause for the Symposium depending on who you ask. The party will be open to one and all of the vampire kind and even their servants. The theme will be spooky, I think, as hosted by Princess Mercedes of Fort Worth in celebration of a successful period of transition from theformer Prince in January.

More information when it becomes available, should be a great time for

everyone hope to see ya’ll there!
