SCaRE 2009 – April 16-19

The is an IC character missive obtainable in the Requiem venue from Elysiums and other secret kindred locations. It can be considered to be common IC knowledge for any Requiem PC.

IC:

Dear Kindred Spirits,

It is my pleasure to announce Mr. Rutherford Cross von Saint Germain, the leader of New Orleans, has given me the gift of hosting a gathering in his city on the nights of April sixteenth, seventeenth, and eighteenth in the year of our Lord 2009.

I hope for this gathering to be reminder of the beauty to be found amongst some of the older traditions of this land. If anyone would care to do me the honor of offering to helping organize, secure, and entertain the great many of you I hope attend then please contact me by the means listed below.

While reminding us of the past, I do not wish to neglect the future either. As such I call for each of the great clans amongst us to supply a member who shall act as a judge of a completion to be held amongst the newly released members of our society. These judges shall each design a contest to be held over the course of the gathering to test the skills that they, and the clan that they represent, believes are most critical in the lives of newly released members of society. These contacts shall be applied to all willing contests equally regardless of origin and the judges shall then determine a winner to whom the appropriate laurels will be awarded. I look forward to hearing from the clans appointed judges in the near future so that I may best work with them to facilitate the challenges they have in mind.

More details will of course follow as I work with the members of the domain of New Orleans. Thank you dear reads for your time and I look forward eagerly to your presence in New Orleans the week after Easter.

This is the overall IC premise for SCARE Requiem 2009. If you want to host an IC event at SCARE please contact myself and Robert so we can see if it can be worked into the schedule.

To be clear because there was confusion at the January Featured Game, the contest will be judged by 5 PCs, one from each clan. The PCs get to design the competition with help from the ST staff. Any neonate, recently released childer, etc PC is welcome to enter regardless of clan or covenant and all the contests will go through all 5 parts of the competition from all 5 judges (not a separate competition for each clan as some people thought I meant. So get planning and scheming.
